A few days back, I was having a conversation with a friend about some activities I had planned with my son and he said “Oh! That’s great! Spend time with him now, because as you become more successful, you’ll get too busy”.
I replied- “Being too busy for my son is surely not a part of my vision of success”.
For many of us, climbing the ladder of success is equivalent to working non-stop and being too busy. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to get caught up in the “busy” frenzy. We often perceive busyness as a status symbol, associating it with productivity and achievement. However, constantly rushing from one task to another can lead to burnout, decreased creativity, and even health issues. True success should not come at the expense of our well-being.
Let’s challenge the traditional notions of success that equate it with busyness and reframe the narrative.
For me, success is not constant hustle, packed schedules, and non-stop busyness. My vision of success is about creating a balance – one that brings joy, purpose, and well-being to my life and the lives I touch. Success is about achieving greatness while cherishing the journey along the way!
